Pumpkin Carving Party

Once again, lovely Edith P. opened up her pretty apartment and patio to lots of little and big pumpkins and the little and big people carving them (always seems to be more adults at the end…I think the candy corn and other goodies on the table are just too seductive to keep the kids carving!). No one really noticed the wet and windy weather: it was bright and cheery inside…AND very active. Kids running around in costume, parents chatting away with a warm beverage in hand and Kirstan’s busy corner of face painting. Some parents even got into the costume fun – Jennifer, you have a very “metropole man”! We all brought home nice carved pumpkins for our Fensterbänke and have met (and re-met) some nice folks. Thanks to Edith: we hope the sugar rush lasted until you could clean up! Thanks also to Kara and Jennifer for the wonderful organization. And to our artist face painter par excellence, Kirstan B.
