On the 13th of December, 13 women gathered at the “little White House” on the Alsterufer to taste seasonal home-baked goodies and trade baking secrets. Honorary Club member Consul General Karen Johnson was a most gracious hostess, receiving us in the lovely vestibule of the consulate and entertaining us with stories and insights from her last assignment in Afghanistan. All in all, it was a most satisfying morning and we all departed with plenty of food for thought as well as for our stomachs.
