The AWC Hamburg 2009 Open House on September 25th at the Nancy Tilitz Gallery provided a fun and informal way for new members to get to know the club, for old members to reconnect, and to introduce the new edition of the Bloom Where You’re Planted book series. The Bloom publications include the revised handbook, the cookbook, and the new purse-sized companion “Blümchen” with size charts, restaurant vocabulary, and much more.

The happy hour event began at 18:00 - a great time for members, potential members, and spouses to pop in after work. Delicious warm and cold savory nibbles were catered and the sweets were provided by the board members. Member Christine Z generously donated some of the wine.

Attendance was absolutely wonderful - many thanks to everyone who came out to join us. Some potential members and their spouses commented on how much fun they had and remarked about the number of activities we provide.

The evening was concluded with some fantastic live jazz music, which can be enjoyed at Nancy’s gallery every Friday night.
