alt

Starts November 22

Original language: English

twilightsaga-breaking dawn-part2In the last instalment of the Twilight Saga, Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) is enjoying her new life as a vampire and mother of a little girl named Renesmee (Mackenzie Foy). However, when the Volturi (the rulers of the vampires) come to believe that Renesmee is a turned vampire child instead of a half-human, half-vampire (who can age) they set on a mission to destroy her and the clan who made her. As the Cullen clan rallies together, their allies from around the world in a desperate plan to show the Volturi the truth about Renesmee, Bella must decide whether to keep her family together or save her daughter from eminent death.

There is not much to say about this last Twilight film. As it is the second half of a book, the plot sort of just picks up where it left off with the last film with nary a word of explanation. The characters remain laughable and Bella continues to be shallow. Overall, the film was interesting enough that it was watchable regardless of the ridiculous characters and story, and that is probably the biggest compliment I can give any film in this series. That being said, there were quite a few moments throughout the film where the audience started laughing uncomfortably or groaning because of wood lines and certain characters taking off their shirts. But then it wouldn't be a Twilight film if that didn't happen, now would it?

If you are a fan of the series, this Breaking Dawn - Part 2 will not disappoint. However, if you prefer something more intelligent where you won't roll your eyes every five minutes, well, then maybe this film isn't for you.
