Do you have a favorite charity in Hamburg that would benefit from our support?
Every two years, AWCH selects a local charitable organization to support by sponsoring awareness events, promoting fundraising, and encouraging member involvement. The criteria for selecting a non-profit organization are outlined in our Philanthropic Giving Guidelines.  Our first local charity was the Fifth Autonomous Women's Shelter of Hamburg e.V. (2019-2020). For the last two years, we have supported Hanseatic Help, e.V. with activities and fundrasing events.

We are now asking for nominations for our Local Charity for 2023 and 2024. Please use this form to nominate your favorite charity by Nov. 20, 2022. The form asks questions about the organization, why you would like it supported, and how the organization corroborates our own goals and would make a good partner with AWCH. These statements are used to help our members decide what charity to sponsor.  Feel free to enlist help from another member to nominate a charity. It is permissable to nominate a charity that has been sponsored in the past.
