Laura's Stern and the Dream Monsters is a film based on the children’s books by Klaus Baumgart. Laura’s brother Tommy is holding on to his security blanket far too long, namely protecting-me-dog. This is impeding him from having more fun with his sister Laura. Laura is worried about this, and, to make matters worse, one night the dream monsters kidnap the beloved protecting-me-dog. Laura promises Tommy to help him recover the dog. Luckily Laura’s star (Stern) is there also to help. Stern will bring them into a land of the dreams where not only nice dreams are but also the monsters in their dreams.
There is a special character called Light Catcher which is a subordinate of the bad monster’s boss. He is supposed to catch the star and help the monsters find little Tommy. However he meets Tommy and they find each other very cute; he won’t go on against his new friend. Also Light Catcher’s fascination with light causes him to keep the Star for himself. Ultimately in order to fight the monsters they will have to try not to feel afraid. A big lesson in a cute delivery. Laura's Stern and the Dream Monsters will be loved by children ages 4-8, it is not too long, great fun, can be a bit scary for sensitive public but it is very recommended as a first film with the amazing experience of a three-dimensional view.
