Much to the dismay of werewolf Jacob Black (Lautner), Bella Swan (Stewart) marries her vampire love, Edward Cullen (Pattinson). Jacob is convinced that this will kill her and, as it turns out, love making with this particular brand of vampire, does have its challenges. Even so, the real danger emerges when the apparently impossible happens and Bella becomes pregnant. As the fetus grows at an alarming speed, it rapidly begins to consume Bella's life force; until someone suggests the child may be craving for blood, and Bella's diet is changed. Matters improve a little, but Bella's death still seems inevitable. Despite Jacob's entreaties, a faction of the werewolf clan, who are committed to defending humans against vampires, decide to attack the Cullen vampire clan...
Financial motivation can be the only reason for dividing the final book of the Twilight Saga into two movies. One hour would have easily covered the material stretched out into nearly two. Long-winded is the first word that comes to mind, boring the second. The one star is for scenery and sets.
Directed by award-winner Bill Condon, with a screenplay by Melissa Rosenburg, Breaking Dawn brings fans of the Twilight Saga half of the final installment, starring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner once more.
