For Ralph every day is the same. His job is to wreck whatever is being built up in a video game. This didn’t bother him much until the video game“Fix it Felix” has an anniversary party. Everyone is invited except Ralph. Well it’s obvious that you never invite the “bad guy.” Right? Unfortunately for this game, "Fix it Felix", Ralph is fed up being the bad guy and decides to move on to find a place where he can change his image. Deep down inside he doesn’t feel like a bad guy. So, as Ralph wanders from one game to the next, he finally meets Vanellope who is a glitch in a game called Sugar Rush. She wants to become a race car driver and the two of them team up against all odds.
The real challenge of this movie comes from the technical side which created this film. In essence, it tells the history of video games. The animation changes format several times depending on which game the character enters. The animators had to create not only a world that fits to that specific game but also they had to find the right music, color and style that match it to its era. The art directors and animating teams were up for the challenge despite how hard and intricate this work was to complete; it is the first time that this has ever been attempted. I would definitely have a look at this film since it is on a new technical frontier of animated films. Check it out and see if it meets the expectations of this complicated task.
