Principal actors: Julian Radlmaier, Deragh Campbell, Kyung-Taek Lie, Beniamin Forti, Ilia Korkashvili, Bruno Derksen
Julian, the dog, tells his story. He was originally Julian, the man (Radlmaier), who wishes to make a film, but, due to lack of financing, is forced to take on a job picking apples in an orchard. The work is back-breaking. Luckily he befriends Camille (Campbell) and convinces her that he is not really a fruit laborer, but an undercover filmmaker doing research. She works alongside him, obviously not as exhausted as Julian, because she has the time and strength to befriend Hong (Lie) and Sancho (Forti).
This played in the section Perspektives Deutsches Kino in the 2017 Berlinale film festival. The German audience appreciated the references to capitalism, socialism, revolution, and strikes. This was director/actor Julian Radlmaier’s graduation film for the German Film and TV Academy in Berlin. ( )
