If you realize you're unable to attend an event, make sure to update your RSVP before the sign-up deadline, or else you may be asked to pay for the event in full unless a substitute is found. AWCH Swap Party at Hanseatic HelpOne woman’s trash is another woman’s treasure!Supporting the sustainability efforts of our local charity, Hanseatic Help, AWCH is welcoming members back after the summer holidays in the spirit of “reduce, reuse and recycle” with a fun clothing swap party. This will be a great opportunity to declutter and refresh your wardrobe while reconnecting with fellow members and meeting new friends. All members, their guests, and other prospective members are invited. Refreshments will be served, and mirrors and changing rooms are available for trying on your new clothes. What to bring: Adult women’s clothing. Attendees are asked to bring at least 5 items for swapping. (No upper limit.) All clothing must be in VERY GOOD CONDITION with no visible wear and tear. Clothing left over at the end of the day will be donated to Hanseatic Help to distribute to the needy. Accessories like hats, scarves, belts, purses, and jewelry are welcome, but must be taken home by participants if still left over when they go home. Men’s clothing is also welcomed as a direct donation to Hanseatic Help, since there is an especially great need for that. What not to bring: No kids’ clothing please. No underwear unless new.
EVENT DETAILS When: Sunday, Sept. 22, from 1-4 p.m. Where: Hanseatic Help in Altona (sign in to see exact address below) RSVP: Please register by Sept. 18 How to get there: Public transportation is available, but it involves walking up and down quite a few steps. Parking will be available, and we encourage participants to carpool if possible. See notes below. Entry fee is a donation to Hanseatic Help: 10€ for members, 12€ for guests. Donate: Don't have time to attend on Sept. 22, but would like to donate anyway? You can send bank transfers to AWCH. All donations, big and small, are appreciated!
