Details: Art Tour"In Her Hands"in realm of Women's History Month
Ausstellungsansicht_In-Her-Hands_Bucerius-Kunst-Forum_Ulrich-Perrey For National Women’s History Month, please join the AWCH Art Group for a guided tour in English of "In Her Hands", an exhibition at the Bucerius Kunst Forum celebrating the rediscovery of three 20th-century women artists. From ca. 1930 to 1970 in Copenhagen, Paris and New York, Sonja Ferlov Mancoba, Maria Martins und Isabelle Waldberg explored classic Surrealist imagery including masks, fetishes, totems and plant and animal anatomy. Their biomorphic, dreamlike sculptures have been beautifully staged by the Bucerius, which has opened its curtains for the first time to accentuate the fascinating play between solid, void and transparency which unites them. Optional coffee and cake following the tour. Location TBD. DetailsWhen: Wednesday, March 19, 2025, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Meeting time and place: Meet at 1:45 p.m. in the entrance hall Who: AWCH member and their guests Cost: €19 for English guided tour and entrance ticket Payment: Money should be transferred at the time of registration to American Women's Club of Hamburg e.V. Deadline for payment is March 12 Cancellation Fee: You have until Wednesday, March 12 to cancel your attendance without being charged. After this date, or in the event of a no show, you will still be required to pay the full amount unless a substitute is found. By attending this AWCH event, there is a possibility that you will appear in group photos used on our digital channels and/or in our printed material. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this, please let the event organizer know ahead of time.
