Join us for a lively morning at the Museum für Kunst & GewerbeDRESSED: 7 WOMEN – 200 YEARS OF FASHIONFrom everyday clothes to avant-garde fashion, this exhibition examines the lives and wardrobes of seven fashion-conscious women, who lived or are living in Hamburg from the nineteenth century to the present day. The exhibition not only tells the story of changing fashions over time but also how social status and personal aesthetics influence fashion. It emphasizes the role fashion plays in making a statement – whether “power dressing” for projecting confidence in an executive suite, “protest gear” for catching attention for a cause, or “status dressing” to ensure one’s place in high-society. The exhibition testifies to significance clothing plays in society, whether we like to admit it or not. We will tour the exhibition with an English-speaking guide. The cost of €14 per person includes tour guide and entrance fee. Maximum 20 persons. Guests will be confirmed after March 30, if spaces are still available. Members have priority. (Children under 18 are €6.) Please transfer your payment now (latest April 3) to FFP2 masks are required throughout the museum. BECOME PART OF THE EXHIBITION!If you had to save one piece of clothing for eternity, what would it be? And why? STAY FOR A BUFFET LUNCH AT THE DESTILLEWe have reserved two tables at the Restaurant “Destille” at MK&G for after the tour.
