Baakenhafen Breakfast and a Loop Walk 

The Harbor Explorers are back: this time to stroll around one of Hamburg’s newer up-and-coming  ‘Quartier’ sites, the Baakenhafen. Construction is ongoing and developers in this area are opening up residential buildings for project groups at moderate rental rates. 

We’ll be meeting up for breakfast at the Jufa Hotel Hafen City, then strolling along Versmannkai, peeking into the popup stores on this promenade. We’ll cross the pedestrian bridge to check out Baakenpark and Hamburg’s very own mini green pyramid, the Himmelsberg.

We loop back to the hotel and you can return either via the U4 (if you need to get home) or walk the path through the Lohsepark Hannoversche Bahnhof memorial across the street, ending in Stockmeyerstraße (buses) or Deichtorhallen.  

Meetup time: 9:45-10:00 in the Hotel Jufa restaurant, first floor in the picnic table area. Breakfast costs 8,50 € and the wonderful buffet is open until 10:30. After breakfast meetup we walk at our own pace around the loop and exploring the park.
