Who wants to join us?

We will be meeting in the city center, near the Alster, or on the Eilbek canal for a 27.5 km trip to Ahrensburg Palace.  There we will meet others that have signed up for the English tour of the beautiful Schloss Ahrensburg at 1:00 p.m.

The route primarily follows the green arteries of Hamburg; first along the Eilbek Canal, then following the Wandse River, through the Höltzebaum, and finally the Stellmoorer Tunneltal -- before we hit our destination.  It is a flat route but you should be an experienced bicyclist to make the trip. We will plan 3 hours for the tour, which should give us plenty of time to get there in time.

Participants should bring water and pack snacks (or light lunch) for the trip.  We will only make short stops while biking, but will enjoy a longer break before the palace tour starts (hopefully!).

After the Schloss Ahrensburg tour, we will return to Hamburg's main station with the bikes using local trains that run circa every 20 min (travel time ca 20 min.)

In case of really bad weather, we will cancel the bike trip, but the palace tour will still take place.  (Please note, as we have reserved the tour guide, it is important that those registering also register for the tour here.  The tour guide fee will have to be paid, whether or not you attend.)
