Tag der Deutschen Einheit 2023 an der Alster Mark your calendar to visit the city center on Tuesday, Oct. 3. The American Women's Club of Hamburg is hosting a booth at the International Pavillion, in partnership with the US Consulate. We will have an interactive basketball game and tasty treats. That evening, our own Frances Livings will be singing live on stage. Please stop by to support AWCH, our volunteers, and Frances! All the Details What: AWCH booth at Day of German Unity Booth hours: Tuesday, Oct. 3, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Frances Livings concert: 7:40 - 8:05 p.m. at the Hamburg International stage Where: Gerhart-Hauptmann-Platz, at Alstertor & Mönckebergstraße Who: This is a public festival open to AWCH members, Hamburg residents, and visitors from all over Cost: The festival and concerts are free Donations: We will collect donations at the booth on behalf of our charitable partner, Hanseatic Help Volunteer: Can you spare an hour or two to staff the booth with us? About Tag der Deutschen Einheit: The Day of German Unity celebrates the 33rd anniversary of German reunification. This national celebration is hosted by different cities, and this year it's Hamburg's turn. There will be a full celebration in the city center on Oct. 2-3. You can get full details here. About Dr. Frances Livings: Frances is a talented AWCH member who is a grant-winning author, poet, foreign-language jazz singer, and songwriter.
