Taiwan Cultural Days in Pappenburg

Experience Taiwanese culture while enjoying the big flower show Papenburg this summer (Blumenschau Papenburg 2019) on July 26-27.

Along with will be an exhibition of oil paintings and calligraphy there will be cultural booths featuring tea art, Tai Chi, Taiwanese food, art, calligraphy, origami and more as well as a Taiwanese music program in front of the town hall.The flower displays along the canals and in the city park include exhibits about Papenburg’s maritime and ship-building history – this is where the AIDA cruise ships are built today. With plant and ecology activities for children, this would make a great weekend excursion during the summer school break.

Papenburg is located on the River Ems, a little less than a three-hour drive to the south east from Hamburg.
