Please join us in celebrating the first day of Advent and creating your very own Christmas Rag Wreath!
As the holiday season approaches, many of us look for ways to decorate our homes in ways that are both festive and environmentally conscious. Creating a Christmas-themed rag wreath is a wonderful way to celebrate sustainably. By repurposing old fabrics and textiles, you not only reduce waste but also craft a unique, handmade wreath that embodies the spirit of the season.
We will provide the wire wreath frames and the material from the “Material Pool” at Hanseatic Help. If you have any old fabrics that fit your holiday theme, feel free to bring them with you! This could be anything from flannel shirts, old Christmas-themed pillowcases, to fabric scraps in traditional holiday colors like red, green, and gold. Ribbons, small ornaments, or bells: You can tie them to your wreath to enhance its holiday vibe. Please avoid buying new fabric; our goal is to repurpose what we already have. If you have good scissors, please bring them along as well. NO SEWING is required.
Feel free to bring snacks/finger foods with you to share with the group. Water and Glühwein will be provided.
