Join Us for Our Holiday Party!

You are invited to our Annual Holiday Party on Thursday, December 8, 2022.
This year we are holding a ‘cultural & culinary’ event. We will start the evening with an optional guided tour of the exhibit “Breathing” at the Hamburger Kunsthalle, the world's first exhibition on this multifaceted theme. After the tour we will gather together for a small reception followed by a festive three-course menu.

Art Tour

Join us for a guided tour in English of the Kunsthalle’s exhibition Atmen (Breathing), which explores the theme of breathing in art from the Old Masters to contemporary works of art. The exhibition includes works by 45 artists from 18 countries, who look at many facets of breathing, from the biological process to an expression of the divine, and examines social and political dimensions, exploring topics from our relationship to the world, to air pollution and illnesses, as well as protest movements. For more information see BREATHING.

Winter Ornament Swap: Bring a small winter ornament or decoration that will be numbered and exchanged during our event. Bring some joy into a member's home. This can be purchased new or passed on or homemade.

You have the choice: You can either join us for both the art tour and dinner, or come for the reception and dinner only. Reservations for the art tour are on a first come, first served basis. There will be two simultaneous tours in English, each limited to 20 people.

Schedule: 17:15 Meetup; 17:30 to 18:30, Art Tour; 18:30 Reception; 19:00 Dinner

Cost: €48 for Art & Dinner; €36 for Dinner only. The cost includes the reception (one glass of prosecco or juice) and a three-course dinner, with or without the one-hour guided Breathing tour in English.

Payment: Money should be transferred at the time of registration to the AWCH bank account (IBAN:DE47 2005 0550 1502 5597 41 ) with the reference “Holiday Party”. Deadline for payment is November 28.

The Holiday Party is for members only. 

CANCELLATION POLICY: You have until Wednesday, November 30 to cancel your attendance without being charged. After this date, or in the event of a no show, you will still be required to pay the full amount unless a substitute is found.
