"Why dream about Manhattan when Hamburg has its own island right in the center of the city? For this last outing of the season, Harbor Explorers will be in locations on the Fleetinsel.

We‘ll meet for lunch at Rialto, a creative restaurant with a long window front on Herrengrabenfleet (think Hudson River). Everyone has to pay for their own food and drink expenses.

After lunch we’ll walk down the Alsterfleet (think East River) on the promenade walk to the Schaartorschleuse (locks) and then over to Baumwall. If it‘s a rainy day as an alternative we can walk through the sheltered passageways of Stadthausbrücke, a fascinating and controversial city development project."
